Sex Drive Is So Strong, It Just Overwhelms You
I think that this idea of natural sex, especially with heterosexual relationships, it kind of feeds into this script of like men are the leaders of sex, they take what they want. There's sense of like desire is so strong, it just overcomes you and you can't do anything about it. And I also think it shames sexual abuse survivors too. So if we have this idea that sex is just supposed to unfold naturally, you're not supposed to need to talk about it. It very, very quickly leads into a really dangerous place for so many of us.
