The Importance of Pragmatism
I'm a great believer that we must all be pragmatists in the appropriate moment. Taking your frustration with Boris Johnson could be transformed into what? Going to a protest, dedicating time to informing yourself better about political procedures and supporting good initiatives. The same goes for the environment. It can be tempting to become depressed and very very angry about the disaster we see unfolding around us. But again if we were to say that all of that was really an expression of limited time and energy which we all have it seems pretty obvious that it would be wiser to focus it into something that might shift our species rather than another.
