The Secession of Modern Architecture
Sections of modern architecture want to do two different things. On the one hand they believe in kind of a kind of unashay unashamed confrontation with modernity but at the same time there's also a vision of the work of art as something which lays a healing balm onto the troubled sort of sensibility of modern man. It's an answer it's an attempt to answer the question that Semper and we would like an environmental in modern architecture were asking, he says.
