Love Your Enemies

The new testament calls it patience, long suffering forbearance, enemy love. When jesus speaks of loving our enemies, he doesn't have in mind warm feelings of admiration or approval. What we're called to do towards those who have wronged us is to wish their ultimate good which might involve temporary pain like prison. And then put that into action by seeking to treat them better than they deserve.
