The Longest Serving Director of Central Intelligence
Last time, we asked CIA's chief historian David Roebarge who the longest and shortest serving directors were. He told us that Alan Dulles served eight years, nine months and three days. Sidney Sowers clocked in at just four months and 18 days but was also America's very first director of central intelligence in 1946.
