The traditional concept of privacy has now become almost meaningless, says Julian Zelizer. In Western states that there is at least some control over how the data is all being used, he adds. It's hard to know where this is all going, isn't it? We're pretty confident that unlike in China, this has not been used to track when I go to church or what Bible apps I'm reading online and what my WhatsApp are saying," writes Zelizer.
