Is There a Way to Stimulate Our Brains That Could Produce New Kinds of Experiences Than What We Have Now?

If we are in the future to develop virtual realities or some sort of simulation where we would be feeding our brains with information or stimuli that would stimulate the brain. then what we would get there if it worked exactly the same way wouldn't be in any way different from what we already experience right well I could imagine that we could stimulate our brains in ways that we have qualitatively different kinds of experiences than what we have now. Some people tell us that when they take drugs that's what happens right that they have these hallucinogenic experiences that are utterly unlike in some cases feel even more real than everyday life. So so we seem to have firsthand evidence that there are ways to play with our brains
