The Deception of Mao
The allies were able to keep Mao in many ways on side, whilst also keeping Chiang Kai Shek on side. But then inadvertently again, funding that civil war that continues after the Second World War. America was deceived by Mao's and there was a trick of Maoian cahoots made in cahoots with starting - which is to portray the Chinese communists as agrarian reformers. So they agreed, you know, Mao and the Russians, they agreed. They even wanted to change the name of the Chinese Communist Party. And so my mother as a teenager read that book and that influenced her a lot in her decision to join the Communists when she was 15.
