"I was never close with anybody, you know, on my staff. Like I just never had that experience until I was a pro," he says. "It absolutely stretched me in ways I did not probably want to be stretched" The benefit of having four different coaches and the benefit of playing in multiple places in your pro career overseas is that you did get exposed to different philosophies plus more when you think about the professional side. It made me so much more adaptable as a player at the time.
