Erlang: A Deep Dive Into Functional Programming

The previous experience I had with functional languages was mostly due to me browsing online forums and then knowing that I mostly did PHP and JavaScript. So really when it came to Erlang it was not necessarily the functional aspect although that was good for me. What really made it click was first of all, there is a very kind of visual way to work through your code and see what it's doing. There's a texture to the code you write that makes it easy to scan and read for me. And the other aspect of it is just that idea of isolated processes running and communicating by messages.
