Introduction
Xenophon travelled to persia with a mercenary army of mostly greek soldiers. They beat the persian prince cyrus back and delivered a victory for him. But when the dust of battle had cleared, they heard the bad news. Their general had also been killed and all their senior commanders captured. Now xenophon and what remained of his ten thousand men had to find their way home.
