A macinter, whom i mentioned last week, and slaughterdyke are calling for a new monastic rule. Both of them see our different human communities as practiced communities in which a rule could be implemented. We don't have time for these long, you know, centuries to build global human training programes. Alexander bard says that maybe god is dead, but we still need the idea of god. And Sharon betcher brings up the idea of spirit as a prosthesis.
