The Pros and Cons of Mars

He wins in a huge, huge landslide victory. The only thing that mars this victory is he has a big victory party near Madison Square,. And unfortunately, those fireworks catch fire and they explode which essentially creates a bomb. A dozen people are killed and hundreds are maimed or wounded. So that is a mark against him, but he tries to put it behind him. He goes off to Washington, DC and serves as a congressman. It gets him a national profile and it's very smart of him to build his profile before he runs for president.
