Diversity Equity Inclusion: A Parallel System to the Civil Rights Movement
Diversity equity inclusion is seen as a parallel system to the civil rights movement. It seeks to subvert it or take it along a different path, you say. Is DEI based on many of the privileges afforded by things like Griggs v. Duke Power? Yeah, it's really interesting and I think the kind of narrative or the story that I tell in the book is compatible with Caldwell's analysis of civil rights law and more particularly civil rights bureaucracy. The critical race theorists are explicitly disillusioned with the Civil Rights Act.
