The Non-Local Causation of Language
The meaning of words is extremely dependent on the context in which they are used. And this is called non-local causation because it's not local in the sense of requiring you to do something. So basically language is a hugely entangled system of meaning, or potential meaning, anyway. People use this structure of potential meaning when they speak to communicate clearly, but when they're doing so, they're connected non locally.
