Compassion and Empathy in Feedback Conversations
I think it's compassion and empathy both ways. As a team member delivering feedback to the leader you have that same, I guess, compassion and empathy towards them to get it wrong too. We don't have your feedback conversations if they're polished or formulaic feel disingenuous. But if your feedback conversations are raw and they're open and there's permission to stuff it up a bit, I reckon people are much more open to hearing that. Oh, I love it. The acknowledging defensiveness. I think we can all take that on in any scenario.
