The Importance of Karaoke in Nashville
Karaoke wasn't very popular where I'm from but one of the things that blew my mind was how serious people take karaoke in Nashville. It's a stage to the point where there were people playing fake instruments on stage. Like they had prop guitars that somebody wanted to play a song you could get up on stage and play this obviously unplugged in guitar along with the person singing. No David Bowie songs allowed ever because if David Bowie is your favorite band your favorite band sucks.
