Is There a Risk of Offense?
Soren Kierkegaard's idea is that the encounter with Christ has to undergo the risk of offense. And I think most Christians recoil from that and say, no, I'm attached to this God up in the sky who watches over me and protects whatever. So anyway, that's not neither here nor there. That's completely a betrayal of it.
