Earlier this week the Senate confirmed Pam Bondi to lead the Department of Justice. After being sworn in as U.S. Attorney General on Wednesday, Bondi quickly issued several directives. From establishing the "Weaponization Working Group," directing the DOJ to pause all funding to sanctuary cities, and planning to create a new Joint Task Force focused on holding Hamas accountable for its crimes against Jews, her first day in office was a busy one. President Trump signed an executive order this week banning transgender athletes from competing in women's sports, with the Department of Education tasked with investigating violations of the new Title IX rule. The conversation around transgender athletes in women's sports came to a head when transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, on the UPenn swimming team, was criticized for competing against female athletes. Former UPenn swimmer, and former teammate of Lia Thomas, Margot Kaczorowski joins the Rundown to discuss her experience competing with a transgender athlete and why she thinks the executive order is a step in the right direction.
