One of the components that he talks about, the Kotlin one with Ktor, is actually a server-side aggregation framework which sits on top of all these other older data collection layers and kind of unifies it. Getting data or sending data dispatching into multiple downstream systems asynchronously and getting it back composing it to a single view for the client.
