Revelation has that same context of we don't know how history is going to turn out it looks like we're going to be destroyed they are destroyed eventually and who holds the keys of the kingdom the ultimate power and authority so those themes are not new. I think Revelation is still largely symbolic but then you get to the end of Revelation it talks about the new heavens new earth so do then we toss out that because it's symbolic because it's in revelations yeah. So this is just part and parcel of what we get when we get to revelation and it shows how important it is to read really carefully.
