If you have a need to express your own thoughts, this is probably not the position for you. Another struggle i've personally seen amongst my translator friends, and also when i've managed other translators, is that it's very tough with competition. The rates are pretty limited, in my experience. So defininely something worth considering. If if you speak several languages really well, you're by lingual, your native and you also enjoy this kind of work.
