Surrealism

I don't believe that while Ethel had some libertarian streaks to her, I don't believe she was a populist. Surrealism was meant to get everybody to engage with the arts. And so it was trying to break down certain classical precepts. But as you know, and maybe even a bit of kind of what we're seeing today, populism can take many forms. It can induce a number of different political sensibilities.
