Definitely Moving the Poem Forward

The fashion of the day, or if a book is said in the past, it can orient the reader that we are back in essentially a costume drama period. Oh, and social mobility. That was the third one on my list. And i guess this is maybe plot, but i'm thinking of characters putting on a toxito or or wearing a nice gown, or even a man just putting on tie or something like that. It kind of shows an intention of the character that they they're consciously dressing up.
