Tree knew he was rooted to the ground. He understood weather as it seemed intent on making itself known. Tree had questions about his life but they were normal questions that didn't plague him in the dark hours of the night. It can be a comfort to know everything that could be known. But then in early winter the first winter of trees awareness something new began to happen that raised more questions.
