The Importance of Peer Review in the Early Universe

The Big Bang could fuse a lot of protons and neutrons into deuterium. But nothing else in the periodic table could have been created in the Big Bang. Instead, stars had to produce all the rest of that stuff. Do you think today, like those calculations would be like peer reviewed enough to not make it?
