Monotheism - Is There Only One God?

This is one of many examples in the Old Testament of Israel's belief that their God Yahweh was not the only God, but was the best. And so this song praises Yahweh for destroying his enemies by drowning them in the sea. In fact, as I said before, that might be the point of the whole Pentateuch to make the case that Yahweh alone is worthy of Israel's worship.
