Networking 101 - Trace Root Etiquette
A useful tool for admins to add to their toolbox when MTR and trace root aren't cutting it, or are producing more questions than answers. A decent implementation surprisingly comes from Cisco, and then you link to T-Rex. The findings of the research were even minted in RFC 9198,. Although I'll admit it should be a last resort as it's far more cumbersome to use and distribute than MTR.
