Cousins's Attempt to Take in His Own Life

Cousins was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and murder. Initially claimed he didn't recognize Sarah Evert, but officers knew well that the pair had met. Told police his motive was purely financial after a gang accused him of underpaying Nascort. While still in custody, Cousins appears to have made a frenzied attempt to take in his own life. This attempted rendering himself unfit for trial was unsuccessful. He pled guilty to the kidnap, violation, and murder of Sarah Evert.
