The Difference Between Rent Interest and Profit
Marx is just making a distinction between appearance and reality, rent interest and profit. Real assets like owning land or houses that you rent are the source of your income. Capital which you use to produce things which you sell for more value than they cost doesn't actually come from cotton spinning machines.
