The God's Eye Trap

Competition for suburban houses in good school districts meant that people had to throw away lots of other values. From a God's Eye view, each individual tribe only faces the choice of going agricultural or inevitably dying. Large countries can spend anywhere from 5% to 30% of their budget on defense. The best solution is world peace and no country having an army at all.
