The Principles for Livable Cities
Transportation as a sector is, I think, 27% of all emissions. Personal cars are 15% of all worldwide emissions. In specific cities, like where we're not counting in factories and manufacturing, it's almost like 60% of cities emissions. It's this gigantic piece. But the second piece around livability that I'm just struck by is people are willing to complain about cars, traffic, parking,. How long it took them to get someplace, the cost. And then we can do the flip side of livable, joyful, and just cities.
