The Importance of Information as an Asset

We are spending a huge amount of money on applications that we use inside the organization. Depending on your type of business, the application might be business-critical. International accounting rules do not count information as an asset or financial asset. We now live in the knowledge economy. It's common sense. But at the same time, you've got to get a whole lot of people, or account and so on, to agree on how new value information is.
