Is the Virus Scanning a Technical Problem?
I like the approach of saying what is most appropriate for what the user expects. It might still fail and maybe it now an administrative person needs to get in contact with them and say, hey, we had a problem. But as far as their operation is concerned, I uploaded my stuff and I completed my application. All of this reminds me of a talk that Ben Wilson had given at the Big Elixir back in 2018 called Trapped by Our Tools. You should definitely give it a listen if you haven't already.
