The Strike Authorization Vote

This week, we're voting on what's called a strike authorization. Strike authorization means that our negotiating committee has the ability to call a strike if they feel it's necessary. And this particular cycle is very important because the businesses change so much and writers are making significantly less than they made in the past. The hope is that by having the leverage of an overwhelming majority voting for it, they won't need tocall a strike.
