I wanted to ask about the New Yorker obviously because it's a publication that exudes a kind of fascination to a lot of writers. How did your connection with them come about and how it develops? I have a slightly insane process which is that after I've been line edited I go back and retype the whole thing myself in part because it helps me feel better about certain line edits where ego might get in the way. Could you tell us what that rate is?
