The Earth Existed for Many Years Before Us

Kwein: It is not a matter of describe the sense data and then put them together to say, yes, the earth exists. We ourselves in particular don't know that the earth existed for many years before us because of sense data or any sort of evidence other than what other people have told us. So I mean, it will turn out to be part of the whole language game and the whole form of life that grounds these pre-theoretical conditions that allow us to think and to say anything in the first place.
