I decided to marry my upbringing and my culture. I was raised in the south, born in Kentucky, raised in North Carolina. And I developed quite an affinity for buttermilk. A lot of the acidity is brought about by either lime juice or just plain white vinegar. It's a marriage really, you know, a little bit of curry leaf in the salt that hits the fried chicken.
