A figure that's really important in this discourse is Christine Frederick who introduces these ideas of tailorism to the domestic realms. She also produces famously a lot of motion and time studies for kitchens specifically. And presumably at that time as well, you're starting to get a lot of new labour-saving devices like refrigerators or ovens.
