Is There Something Going on in the Brain That Causes This?

There is a condition called misophonia where people have a really massive reaction to particular sounds. So it tends to be things like chewing or snoring or kind of vocal sounds. And there is some very interesting research that shows that people who experience that, they show activity in the parts of the brain that move their mouth and their face. That suggests that we've got these mirror neurons and this mirror system that we're somehow embodying or living out what we're hearing.
