The Domus Mindset and the Four Structure of Understanding
The idea that social phenomena might be emergent, not from one entity's authorship, but from the uncoordinated decisions of dozens or even millions of people is sort of hard to put into the narrative of the Domus. The tradition of spontaneous order is relatively new. And you are in a personal relationship with the one who is ordering your society in so far as you experience it. You can't just say, well, I think eggs are too expensive and so I'm going to change the price of eggs. Well, if you're a merchant and you do that, then you'll find yourself completely sold. Right? We want what Michael Schurmer has called, agenticity.
