The writer's guild strike is the front line of a much larger struggle about the corporatization of America. As I've always said, this is not a strike about fairness. Most people feel they're treated unfairly. And if you try to talk to them about how long should a staff writer on a TV show be allowed to stay in the pipeline of production, no one out there cares.
