The Greatest Works of Art Change the World

If we cannot understand ourselves, how can we understand another, inter-personal communication? I'm reminded of Montaigne, great, great essayist, the father of the personal essay. By working on ourselves and getting to know ourselves, we know other people. And so we change the world by changing ourselves. We work on ourselves and then we expand outwards. If one wishes to change the world, one first needs to begin as close to home as possible.
