The Importance of Affirmation
Abukura says we make an affirmation and then we deny it because God has whatever we predicated of him in a perfect way. He's trying to figure out how our words can be predicated of God. So that's the key move that Bart is making. Our concepts, our words, our rational capacities, originally and properly belong to God. They've been alienated from him by the fall, but they originally and properly belonged to God.
