Are You a Writer?
I think there's like any kind of writer who wants to do their own thing is immediately having an adversarial relationship with capitalism because it's like your enemy. It takes up time to make money to pay for things. And energy, like you said, all that vital energy drain and you're either doing it after work or before,. In which case you're getting up at 4am or whatever the hell it is...It's just, it's not easy. I feel like most people who are in like literary fiction and poetry and literary nonfiction for the long haul have a similar feeling about themselves and about their relationship to like the broader culture.
