Long Island has a lot of good towns with really good public school systems. Westchester was built, all the rich people from the city moved to Westchester before we had much of a strong car and highway culture. No matter where you're going on the island, it's 20 minutes away. Property taxes are not lower, are they? Oh my god, it's like a third. I guess it depends on where you are.
