Practicing Mindfulness in the Yoga Sutra

The Buddha talks of contemplating both internally and externally in the sutra. Contemplating or being mindful of the body externally means being mindful of other people's actions. This is quite in contrast to what usually happens when our mind is drawn out. And so that mindfulness of the external really can help our concentration when we see it in others. It also can remind us that our own practice is really an offering, you know, for everyone here.
