What Is Analytical Marxism?

analytical Marxism was in its heyday in the late 70s, essentially 80s and maybe early 90s. This was basically a research program within the broad Marxist tradition. It tried to renew or rework the classical Marxists' thesis and arguments with a modern social scientific outlook in mind. And of those that do stand up to empirical scrutiny, most of them are not really distinctively Marxist.
