The Edmonton Oilers signed forward Climb Costen to a two-year, $3.5 million contract on Monday. The move makes sense because the team was going to have to buy out Kayler Yamamoto before they could sign Costen. This seems like a really good depth bet for the Oilers and it doesn't mean that he can't work his way into the top six right away. He has eclipsed 20 penalty minutes in the NHL once.
