The Unknown Origins of the Wagner Group in Russia
Three Russian journalists were killed for trying to investigate what Wagner were doing on the ground. The origins of Wagner's presence in Russia are murky, but it is believed that 1,890 members have been there since 2018. You see Wagner group not everywhere, but in an awful lot of places and they're armed and they're masked even in the street buying trainers in the market. That sounds quite alarming. What does it feel like at the moment to be a journalist arriving in C.A.R.? I was immediately aware that I was under surveillance from day one.
